Next Kimono

Next Kimono platform is not only product but also has a role as social design to solve 2 social issue: Disappear Japanese traditional kimono culture and Lost high sewing technique for Japanese and Western. For easy to take kimono in daily life, it consists of 3 items. People wear both fullset as kimono and single with their usual outfit as daily clothes. As a trigger to wear it in world's daily life, Next Kimono makes demand for traditional one and jobs at fair wages for sewing factory. Final goal of Kuden is employment of disabled people include CEO's son.

Uncomfortable Immersion

This project explores the way that Western society deals with grief; especially in adolescents. It considers the emotional complexities within grief and the socio-cultural misconceptions. Personal autonomy was strongly encouraged in their grief journey, using Human-Centred Design. A grief book was created to guide the bereaving to construct ritual objects, which help the adolescent process and comprehend at their own pace, while maintaining important metaphysical relationships with the deceased in the form of tangible reminders of the deceased through their handwriting onto crafted objects.

X alarm

X alarm, is an alarm for smokers to make them realize what they are doing to themselves while they are doing it.This design is a new generation of cigarette filters .This design can be a good replacement for expensive advertisements against smoking and it has more influence on smokers minds than any other negative advertising.It has a very simple structure, the filters are stamped with an invisible ink that covers the negative area of the sketch and with each puff the sketch will appear clearer so with each puff you will see your heart is getting darker and you know what is happening to you.

X-Space

In some kinds of situations of the fire that passageway has been blocked in accident. No matter what you do, you cannot escape from the fire through the door. To find a solution for trapped person get away form the fire quickly, the team find the point in window frame redesign. X-Space is redesign of the window frame including rotational structure holder. When fire coming up, all family members can easily get out of the fire through the X-Space avoiding the injury from the fire and smoke behind the outer wall.

The Foodres AI Printer is a desktop pallet 3D printer that transforms food scraps and organic waste into creative crafts. The machine and app use AI to sort materials through the phone camera based on printable recipes. Users can simply drop in food waste and select forms and sizes to print objects such as cup holders, coasters, decor, and custom designs. The Foodres AI Printer embodies Foodres AI’s vision of promoting real time food saving. This product goes beyond recycling food waste and actively engaging communities in eco-friendly practices on a daily basis.

Pocket Spaces

The Pocket Space Playbook is a social design toolkit for high density public housing. It transforms underutilized corridors and stairwells into functional social nodes. The design consists of a portable manual and an assembly system using 100 percent recycled materials like bamboo and wood pallets. By utilizing low barrier connections such as cable ties, residents can construct modular units in 30 minutes without tools. This project promotes spatial autonomy and fosters neighborly bonds in communities facing redevelopment. It provides a scalable solution for urban social resilience.
