Uncomfortable Immersion

This project explores the way that Western society deals with grief; especially in adolescents. It considers the emotional complexities within grief and the socio-cultural misconceptions. Personal autonomy was strongly encouraged in their grief journey, using Human-Centred Design. A grief book was created to guide the bereaving to construct ritual objects, which help the adolescent process and comprehend at their own pace, while maintaining important metaphysical relationships with the deceased in the form of tangible reminders of the deceased through their handwriting onto crafted objects.

Next Kimono

Next Kimono platform is not only product but also has a role as social design to solve 2 social issue: Disappear Japanese traditional kimono culture and Lost high sewing technique for Japanese and Western. For easy to take kimono in daily life, it consists of 3 items. People wear both fullset as kimono and single with their usual outfit as daily clothes. As a trigger to wear it in world's daily life, Next Kimono makes demand for traditional one and jobs at fair wages for sewing factory. Final goal of Kuden is employment of disabled people include CEO's son.

Introducing Never-before-Seen Virtual Traffic Signs created to reflect those challenging behaviors to road safety that need drivers/riders’ attentions. The Sunflower is a solar lunch box that combines heating and cooling technologies all in one portable appliance. It allows you to heat up or to cool down your meal while you are outdoors, giving you the convenience of the household without the attached home appliances. The Sunflower is an ecological appliance that collects the sun's energy through a series of solar panels that spread like the petals of a flower. The Sunflower represents a new way of using alternative sources of sustainable energy - a utopian way of thinking for usage in our everyday life.

Chilote House Shoes

The Chilote Shoe is a design-craft product hand-made by women in and near the Chilean Patagonia using only repurposed and up-cycled salmon leather and raw natural wool. This simple, noble, extremely comfortable and highly sustainable indoor shoe redefines the concept of inclusive and conscious consumption. It is the result of the synergy created by design guided craftsmanship, noble renewable materials from the Patagonia, and a disruptive socially inclusive production ecosystem. Each unit features a unique QR that links to specific details of the individuals involved in it's production.

Triton is an alternative warning and guidance system used on the sea. The design is self contained and does not need a substructure. It uses sustainable energies. Triton, meaning The Little Sea God, symbolizes self reliance, durability and the perfect harmony with its environment. The name of the product is chosen especially since the name has the potential to emphasize the visual triplets of the form.
