Alphathreat

Over 420 million children live in war-ravaged countries today. Their world is one of destruction, desolation and despair - something that's entirely unimaginable in peaceful countries. Directed at parents in peaceful countries, Alphathreat sheds light on the atrocities that these children are subjected to. It reimagines the English alphabet to achieve this. With a spread dedicated to each letter of the alphabet, Alphathreat highlights the plight of these children. Each spread consists of an illustration that resembles a letter, a nursery rhyme and a fact tying them together.

Hack a Bench

Enhancement of existing benches that prompts the imagination of socially inclusive public space. Ten undulating parts were designed to 'hack' the existing park benches to enhance users' sitting behavior. The newly ‘hacked’ benches have been reoriented towards the visually pleasing open areas including the sky, the lawn and the pond. These small changes transform the park into various clusters of cultural experience. Cultural events such as site-specific dance performance, temporary art installations were organized periodically after the launch of the benches.

'Walk along, not alone' introduces end of life preparation in a friendly and structured way. With this game, the elderly Chinese immigrants learn how to cope with ageing and end of life in the Netherlands context. The game offers practical information about end of life preparation, creates a comfortable atmosphere for talking about the end of life.

Cause the market opportunities, social issues and umbrella’s general situation, Radio Foshan teams up with usaaan to make an organizational response to people's umbrella needs by collaborative innovation. In addition to providing convenience for people's outdoor travels, this umbrella rental service is also designed to promote the positive social spirit of mutual assistance and mutual trust between citizens and between cities and to strengthen citizens' sense of belonging in their cities.

The Urban Serene

The self-service library station at HK Cultural Centre is the second station launched in Hong Kong, which provide 24-hours borrow and return service to the public. It takes reference from the unique architectural features of the HK Cultural Centre. The modern and minimal design brings highlight to the left-over space and provides a comfortable and functional library station to the public. The design will serve as a prototype for library stations at other districts with insertion of different materials and transparencies into the generic structural frame to suit various site conditions.

Perigives

Perigives has created foldable posters with pockets, enabling people to give and receive menstruation products without barriers. These posters are distributed in female public restrooms and are accessible on Perigives' website to anyone who wants to help. The posters are designed sto be easily put together, uses the least amount of ink possible and 2 different sizes for people to choose from. The 4 colors red, yellow, brown, and off-white embody menstruation and all races as inclusivity are equally as important to Perigives.
